Appearing on the National Mall this weekend, a satirical statue depicting Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands — titled «Best Friends Forever» — received much attention. An anonymous artist installed the piece, which was permitted to remain until Sunday night. Notably, a plaque accompanies the statue, lampooning the connection between Trump and Epstein.

This statue is part of a series of guerrilla art projects criticizing Trump, which includes works like the golden «Dictator Approved» statue crushing the Statue of Liberty’s crown. The series collectively addresses political commentary through provocative installations.

Meanwhile, the White House dismissed the display, with spokeswoman Abigail Jackson saying critics were «free to waste their money» and repeating Trump’s claim that he banned Epstein from his club.

This stunt comes at a time when Trump’s connections to Epstein are under new scrutiny. For instance, Democrats recently shared a 2003 birthday note they say Trump signed, though he denies it. At the same time in the UK, activists have protested by leaving fake Trump–Epstein merchandise at Windsor Castle and projecting images of the two onto the royal residence.
