Following Real Madrid CF’s arrival in Almaty, football fans are watching the players’ every step. Kursiv LifeStyle reports on the craze around the InterContinental Almaty.
Despite the working day being in full swing, several dozen fans surrounded the venue’s gates. The crowd mostly consisted of students, young school-age fans, and their parents.
Police were also present at the scene. A Kursiv LifeStyle reporter asked one of the fans what they were waiting for. Nurmukhamed Kerimkhan, a student at one of the city’s universities, said that like most of those gathered, he was waiting for the team to depart for a training session. According to Kerimkhan, the players were expected to head to Central Stadium anytime soon.
Among those waiting were foreign fans from Cameroon. The tourists told Kursiv it was already their sixth day in Almaty and that they were enjoying the city.
Many young fans held posters asking their favorite players for photos.
The Real Madrid vs. Kairat match is scheduled for Sept. 30. Previously, Kursiv reported on the unusual ways fans were trying to watch the game without tickets.
Notably, the hotel is fully booked, with the next available rooms starting from Oct. 1.
