A disabled boy from Kazakhstan, Sanzhar, had the chance to meet his idol, Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé.

Real Madrid arrived in Almaty on Sept. 28. On Monday, the squad held a training session at Central Stadium, which will host a historic match between Real Madrid and Kairat today at 9:45 p.m. local time.

Kazakh businessman Kairat Boranbayev, chairman of the FC Kairat supervisory board, said he invited Sanzhar — who had long dreamed of meeting his favorite team, especially Mbappé — to the training session.

A video of the meeting posted on Boranbayev’s Instagram shows Sanzhar, in a wheelchair, beaming as he meets Real Madrid players.

The players signed his jersey, which read «Mbappé» with the number 9 — the number Mbappé wore in his debut season with Real Madrid.

«At Kairat, we continuously work to make sports accessible to everyone,» Boranbayev said. «Thanks to our partners, para-athletes and members of special needs communities will be in the stands alongside fans at the upcoming match. Football and major events should be inclusive. This is part of our mission, and we are proud that through sport we can create a space where no one feels left out.»
