The project that action legend Jackie Chan has been working on in Kazakhstan has been revealed. Kursiv LifeStyle reports what is known about the upcoming film.

The Hong Kong actor and director is taking part in the filming of the concluding part of the “Armour of God” saga, subtitled “Ultimatum”, as reported by Salem Entertainment on Instagram.

The fourth installment of the franchise is set to be filmed in Kazakhstan. According to the studio, the project promises to be one of the largest film productions in the history of the country’s industry.

“Armour of God” is a series of action-adventure movies starring Jackie Chan, which has become one of the most famous works of his career. The first film was released in 1986 and quickly became a hit. The sequel, “Operation Condor” (1991), continued the franchise’s success.

The third part, known as “Armour of God 3” or “CZ12” (2012), became the most ambitious project in the series. The movie’s box office reached around $171.3 million worldwide, with a budget of $26 million. The budget of the upcoming film has not been revealed; however, Chan is expected to serve as director.

In recent years, Kazakhstan has begun to attract increasing attention from international filmmakers. The country’s capital, Astana, appeared as a cyberpunk city in “Alter”, while the Green Bazaar in Almaty served as a set portraying a South Korean location in a project by an Indian crew.
