Dimash meets Kazakhstanis in Mexico

World-renowned Kazakh singer Dimash Qudaibergen met with Kazakhstanis at the Kazakh Embassy in Mexico City.
Qudaibergen gave two concerts in the Mexican capital on Oct. 8 and 10, 2025. His performances drew 25,000 attendees and became a significant event for the singer’s fans in Latin America. During the tour, the singer, who is also a Goodwill Ambassador of Kazakhstan, actively promoted the country’s culture and history.
An important part of his visit was the promotion of Kazakh traditions and culture. For example, Qudaibergen and Almurat Turganbekov, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Mexico, exchanged their opening moves in Togyzkumalak, a traditional Kazakh strategy board game played with small stones on a two-row board. The singer also performed the tusau keser custom — a ceremony symbolizing a child’s first steps, during which a respected person cuts a rope tied around the child’s legs to wish good fortune — for one-year-old Khalid Yildyz, blessing him for a bright future.

Furthermore, as part of his mission, Qudaibergen spoke about the devastating consequences of war and called for peace, mutual understanding and joint efforts to prevent conflict and promote stability.
At the end of the visit, fans presented numerous souvenirs and treats, expressing their deep gratitude to the artist, his family and his team.
