Edin Džeko becomes oldest Conference League scorer after goal against Rapid Vienna

On Oct. 23, Italian Fiorentina stomped Austrian Rapid Vienna away in a Conference League match. Scoring one of the goals, Edin Džeko became the oldest scorer in the tournament, according to UEFA.

Džeko scored the second goal for his team. At the very beginning of the second half, he finished a low cross from Niccolò Fortini with an accurate shot. The Bosnian footballer was later substituted by Albert Guðmundsson, who netted the third goal against Rapid.
Džeko emerged as the oldest player to score a goal in a Conference League match.
