Man arrested in Japan for toy guns capable of firing live rounds

A man was arrested in Japan for reportedly possessing toy guns with the capabilities of real weapons, NHK World reported.
Osamu Ebara, from Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo, was found to have two plastic toy handguns capable of firing real bullets strong enough to kill a human, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Officials added that the suspect had around 30 of these toy guns at home, as well as several listed for auction. Ebara is suspected of violating the Firearms and Swords Control Law.
Police also said they found toy bullets but no real ammunition. Reportedly, Ebara bought the toy weapons on a foreign marketplace. He pleaded guilty and conceded that, with his knowledge and experience, he knew the items could have been illegal.
Previously, Kursiv.media reported that the man who assassinated former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe pleaded guilty.
