Mark Zuckerberg and UFC champion Alex Pereira train together
Founder and CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg trained together with Brazilian athlete Alex Pereira, a UFC light heavyweight champion (93 kilograms).
Zuckerberg visited the new gym of Pereira’s coach, Plinio Cruz, in New York. Later, he posted photos from the training session on Instagram.
Zuckerberg and Pereira can be seen practicing both stand-up and ground techniques.
The Brazilian champion also posted photos with the Meta CEO. The athlete noted that this was his first training session since his bout with Magomed Ankalaev in early October at the UFC 320 tournament.
In the rematch, Pereira knocked Ankalaev out in the first round. Their first fight took place on March 9 at the UFC 313 tournament, where the judges unanimously declared the Russian athlete the winner.
Alex Pereira, 38, has competed in 16 MMA bouts, winning 13 of them. He was previously a UFC champion in the middleweight division (up to 84 kilograms). Following his defeat by Israel Adesanya in April 2023, he moved up to the light heavyweight division.
Mark Zuckerberg, 41, is the founder and CEO of Meta, formerly known as Facebook. According to Forbes, his net worth is estimated at $228.5 billion.
