Kairat forward Dastan Satpayev, 17, ranks as Kazakhstan’s most expensive player
Kairat Almaty forward Dastan Satpayev has become the most expensive Kazakh and Kazakhstan Premier League footballer. According to Transfermarkt, the 17-year-old forward is now valued at €3 million.
After the football season ended in Kazakhstan, Transfermarkt updated the market values of players from the country and the Premier League. Satpayev’s value increased by €1.2 million, putting him at the top of the ranking.
The Kairat forward surpassed Kazakhstanis playing in the Russian Premier League — Bakhtiyor Zaynutdinov (€2.8 million), Nuraly Alip (€2.5 million) and Maksim Samorodov (€2.5 million). The top five is rounded out by FC Tobol (Kazakhstan) winger Islam Chesnokov (€1.2 million), who is moving to the Scottish club Hearts in January.

Satpayev has also become the most expensive player in the Kazakhstan Premier League. FC Astana attacking midfielder Nazmi Gripshi took second place with a valuation of €1.5 million. Satpayev’s teammate Valeriy Gromyko rounded out the top three with €1.5 million.
From fourth to sixth place among the most expensive Kazakhstan Premier League players are FC Astana midfielder Ivan Bašić, Kairat defender Ofri Arad and Chesnokov. Their market values are each estimated at €1.2 million.

Satpayev’s career
Dastan Satpayev is a champion of Kazakhstan and holder of the Kazakhstan Super Cup (2025). It was his goal that secured Kairat’s Premier League title. Satpayev played 40 matches this season, scoring 18 goals and providing eight assists. He made his debut for the Kazakhstan national team in March and has since played five matches.
Notably, in February it was announced that Satpayev will move to Chelsea next summer. The transfer amount totaled €2.4 million.
