Kazakh pianist and composer Temirlan Beisenbay, known as Ratovich, delivered an iconic film melody amid Mangystau’s stunning landscapes.

He posted a video of his performance on Instagram, playing the piano against the dramatic backdrop of Bozzhyra in western Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region.

By performing Hans Zimmer’s «Cornfield Chase,» composed in 2015 for Christopher Nolan’s cult film «Interstellar,» Ratovich sought to merge global cinematic art with Kazakhstan’s iconic landscape, celebrating national pride and creative innovation.

Many regard Bozzhyra as one of Mangystau’s most recognizable landmarks. Its unusual topography and towering rock formations often evoke comparisons to Martian terrain, which attracts tourists and creative teams alike.
