On Feb. 13, 2026, Astana’s Central Concert Hall Qazaqstan will host a concert, followed by another on Feb. 15 at Almaty’s Republic Palace, as part of a world tour honoring famed composer Ennio Morricone.
Under the direction of his son, maestro Andrea Morricone, a symphony orchestra and mixed choir will perform a sweeping program of iconic soundtracks that have become part of global cinema culture. The concert will include music from:
- «Once Upon a Time in America.»
- «The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.»
- «The Professional.»
- «The Hateful Eight» — the score that earned Morricone an Oscar.
A special spotlight will be given to «Chi Mai,» known from the TV series «La Piovra.» Organizers say the event aims to present Morricone’s music exactly as the maestro intended.
Ennio Morricone, the legendary Italian composer who scored more than 500 films and became one of the most influential figures in cinema history, died in 2020. His son has continued to carry forward his musical legacy.
Tickets are available now in the Freedom SuperApp. Guests looking for an elevated experience can purchase VIP tickets, which include a welcome drink and an exclusive photo session with the Morricone family.
