Cristiano Ronaldo becomes shareholder in WOW FC

Al-Nassr and Portugal national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo has become a co-owner of the Spanish fighting promotion Way of Warrior FC (WOW FC). Ronaldo said he identifies with the organization’s values and intends to help elevate mixed martial arts to a new level of global development.

Partnership with UFC Champion Ilia Topuria

UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria is one of the promotion’s key shareholders and ambassadors. The Spanish fighter joined WOW FC in 2024, a move widely credited with boosting the league’s visibility. Reacting to Ronaldo’s involvement, Topuria said the football star represents the highest standard of professionalism.

Spain’s fast-growing MMA league

Founded in 2019 and based in Madrid, Way of Warrior FC is considered Spain’s largest MMA league. According to Marca, the promotion has seen rapid growth: event attendance has more than quadrupled in the past year, with ticket sales regularly topping 5,000 per event. WOW FC tournaments are broadcast in more than 170 countries.
