The Pokémon Company announced the establishment of the first permanent Pokémon franchise-themed outdoor entertainment park in Tokyo, scheduled for Feb. 5, 2026, The Asahi Shimbun reported.
The attraction, named PokePark Kanto, is set to be located inside the Yomiuriland amusement park in the western part of the city and will span 26,000 square meters, featuring 600 Pokémon models spread across the entire area and attractions such as The Pokémon Forest — a walking trail with different terrains, ranging from tall grass to hilly paths, with Pokémon positioned for attendees to observe.
Other locations include Sedge Town — an area with franchise-inspired facilities and venues, promoted as a site for Pokémon players to make friends with fellow game enjoyers from around the world.
The entry tickets for the period of Feb. 5 to March 31 were sold through a lottery that ran from Nov. 21 to Dec. 8 and was open only to residents of Japan. According to the park’s official website, registration for the lottery for the next period, starting April 1, 2026 and later, will be held from the 1st to the 12th of each month, beginning Jan. 1, three months prior to the ticket date. International visitors can check available dates through a separate English-language website, where tickets are also offered in two options starting from 7,900 yen (roughly $51) for adults.
