The popular gaming platform Steam is preparing to offer users a new simulator in which players control a sperm cell.
The game, titled «Become,» is being developed by indie creator Valentin Wirth. It is a short, third-person adventure in which players follow the journey of a single sperm cell through a microscopic race for survival.
Players are challenged to navigate the human body, avoiding acid traps, immune cells and powerful currents, while collecting resources and gradually strengthening their character.
The project description presents the game as a two- to three-hour cinematic mini-odyssey built around the idea that «each of us has already won once — we just don’t remember it.»
«Become» promises a linear yet atmospheric experience. Players can rescue «fellow travelers,» overcome obstacles, power up abilities, customize their appearance and break through biological barriers.
The game is currently listed as a single-player title with achievements and Steam Cloud support. The interface will be available in English, German, French and Czech.
In terms of genre, «Become» blends action, adventure, indie, casual and racing elements, offering an unconventional mix for players interested in experimental games.

Controller support is listed as partial, though Xbox controllers are expected to work without issues. While no official release date has been announced, screenshots, a trailer and links to the developer’s website, Discord and social media pages are already available on Steam.
Despite its unusual subject matter, the game does not contain explicit content. It instead takes a lighthearted, science-fiction-inspired approach to the origins of life.
Meanwhile, a separate debate has emerged on social media in Kazakhstan over whether to restrict access to the popular children’s game «Roblox,» following a similar ban implemented in Russia.
