Why 12 million people can’t stop watching this fashion shoot
A group of models from Kazakhstan filmed a fashion walk against the backdrop of landmarks in Tajikistan’s capital, and the video quickly went viral on social media.
Video shot near Istiklol Tower
The clip was posted by Farida Malik, a coach at FM Model Management and Miss Almaty 2012. Malik and several Kazakh models were filmed walking across the square near Istiklol Tower in Dushanbe.
Malik said multiple takes were needed during the shoot. At one point, a young boy ran up to the group and offered flowers, a spontaneous moment that moved the models.
Millions of views and enthusiastic reactions
Within a week of its release, the video featuring the Kazakh models drew more than 12 million views and thousands of enthusiastic comments from viewers.
The video coincided with the 15th season of Tajikistan Fashion Week, held in Dushanbe from Nov. 27 to 29, where models and designers from Kazakhstan took part.
