The song «Seven Nation’s Army,» often associated by boxing fans with Gennadiy Golovkin, who famously entered the ring to its iconic riff during championship bouts, will be performed live in Almaty. Its author, rock performer Jack White, will headline the first day of the Park Live Almaty 2026 international music festival.
The event is set to take place in Almaty from Aug. 21 to 23, 2026, turning the city into Central Asia’s music capital.
The full lineup has not yet been revealed; however, organizers have already announced two major names. Along with White, Gorillaz will perform as headliners on Aug. 22.
White is an American rock musician and producer, and one of the most influential guitar players of modern times. He is a 12-time Grammy Award winner. He rose to prominence as the frontman of The White Stripes and has also performed with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.
In recent years, the musician’s status has only strengthened. In 2024, White unexpectedly released an album titled «No Name,» which was initially distributed on vinyl and later made available on streaming platforms. In November 2025, The White Stripes were officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
«Seven Nation’s Army» holds a special place in the artist’s legacy, as the song has become an unofficial stadium anthem worldwide. Its iconic riff is played at football and basketball matches, as well as boxing bouts and other sporting events.
Tickets are available for presale, with general sales starting Dec. 19, beginning at 40,000 tenge (approximately $77.5).
This year’s Park Live Almaty was headlined by Brian Hugh Warner, better known as Marilyn Manson, a world-famous musician whose artistic image many perceive as provocative — to the extent that in the early 2000s, he was even branded a «satanist.»
