Kylian Mbappe nears Cristiano Ronaldo’s club goal record

On Dec. 17, Real Madrid’s forward Kylian Mbappe scored a brace against Talavera of Spanish third-tier league Primera Federación in the Copa del Rey. Therefore, Frenchman closely approached to Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for the most goals within a calendar year for the club, Sport Illustrated reported.

Mbappe made his debut for the France’s national team in March 2017 at the age of 18. He is a 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, a 2022 World Cup runner-up and a 2021 UEFA Nations League winner. In 94 appearances for France, he has contributed 95 goal actions (55 goals and 40 assists).
