Chairman of the Migration Service Committee of Kazakhstan Aslan Atalykov has summarized the body’s work in 2025. He reported that the oldest residents to receive passports this year were born in 1915, according to Polisia.kz.

Centenarians from the Kostanay and Aktobe regions accessed the mobile civil-registration service.

«We provide a mobile civil-registration service. A specialist comes to a person’s home with a computer, camera and styluses for signatures and completes the registration on site. This service is most commonly used by senior citizens. The oldest citizen of Kazakhstan registered this year is a woman born in 1915 who resides in the city of Kostanay, in the Kostanay region. Moreover, there is also her peer born in 1915 in the Aktobe region. These people are 110 years old. May God bless them with good health,» Atalykov said.

Separately, the Kazakhstani passport improved its position in international rankings in 2025, providing visa-free travel to 79 countries — the best result among Central Asian nations.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also reported on the digitalization of services abroad. Electronic applications have been introduced at 99 foreign missions across 71 countries, reducing the passport issuance period from six months to 30 days.

Previously, Kursiv.media reported that a woman in Uzbekistan was registered as being 130 years old in September.
