
U.S. President Donald Trump is set to invite Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the G20 Summit, which will take place in Miami.
Trump made the announcement in a post on Truth Social, noting phone calls with the leaders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
“I had two wonderful telephone calls this morning with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. We discussed the importance of bringing Peace to ongoing conflicts, and increased Trade and Cooperation between our Nations. The relationship with both Countries is spectacular. The United States will be hosting the G20 Summit next year, and we will be extending invites to both of these Leaders to join us as guests at this very important event, which will take place in Miami!” Trump said in a post.
Earlier, Trump and Tokayev held a lengthy phone call during which they discussed bilateral cooperation and the current international agenda. In addition, the U.S. president presented his Kazakh counterpart with symbolic keys to the White House and a baseball cap bearing his signature.
