Popular South Korean actor Son Suk-ku has been spotted in photos taken in Kazakhstan. Kursiv LifeStyle covers Kazakhstani users’ reactions to the star’s arrival.

A fan account on Instagram posted photos of the actor in Kazakhstan. Son can be seen in a car bearing Kazakh license plates, leaning out of a window and enjoying the snowy landscape, presumably in the Almaty region.

Other photos show the actor spending time with a film crew and playing snowballs. Both photos and videos quickly went viral on KazNet.

The posts collected thousands of likes and enthusiastic comments. Several users believe the actor is participating in the filming of a new Netflix show; however, there has still been no official confirmation.

Other fans welcomed the K-drama star and asked for a fan meeting in Almaty.

Son, 42, is a South Korean film and television actor. Roles portraying controversial and complex characters brought him fame, with one of the most notable being in the K-drama series «My Liberation Notes.»

Before his acting career, Son lived abroad and was engaged in business. He entered the industry relatively late, at an age older than 30. This fact is often linked to Son’s «untypical» on-screen charisma.

South Korean actors have recently been increasingly noticed in Almaty. For instance, actress Kim Ji-eun shared photos taken in the Ile Alatau Mountains.
