A touching story about a good deed done nearly two decades ago and unexpectedly returned has gone viral in Kazakhstan.
According to Innabat Yakubova, the events date back to 2006, when she was 22 and working as a waitress at a bar. At the time, three students would come in almost every evening, always carrying the same small amount of money. Obviously, on a tight budget, they would order modestly, and Yakubova would often treat them at her own expense.

She never thought that her kindness was particularly important — or that anyone would remember it years later.
«Almost 20 years passed, and suddenly, they found me on Threads. They started a post that garnered 125,000 views and over 2,000 comments. Strangers began writing, searching for me and suggesting where I might be working now. And today, they came to see me,» Yakubova wrote on Instagram.
According to her, the now-grown men tracked her down to personally thank her and wish her a Happy New Year. They arrived with a large bouquet to say «thank you.»
The post itself quickly went viral, garnering 294,000 views. In the comments, users shared their emotions and described the story as an example of genuine humanity.
«What a beautiful story.»
«These guys are amazing! They didn’t just speak well of her and move on, as often happens, but actually organized a meeting. Wonderful.»
«May God bless you and these men, and may your lives be as beautiful as these flowers. Do good and it will surely come back,» Threads users wrote.
