The world-renowned K-pop band BTS is set to return to the stage following a lengthy pause. Kursiv LifeStyle shares what is known about the upcoming album and world tour.

The first news of the group’s reunion appeared in summer 2025. At that time, all seven members announced during a live broadcast that they were working on a new album and a tour after completing their mandatory military service. This was their first live joint statement since September 2022. The announcement garnered more than 7.3 million live viewers.

By 2025, all seven BTS members had completed their military service. Jin was the first to serve, starting in December 2022, and Suga was the last, finishing in June 2025. Afterward, the group officially returned to joint activities following their creative hiatus.

Release of a new BTS album

On Jan. 4, the group’s label announced that the fifth studio album will be released on March 20. The title has not been disclosed, but this will be their first original release since 2020, when the album «Be» came out.

«Featuring 14 tracks, the album is packed with honest stories that BTS wants to share with ARMY, who have been waiting for their full-group comeback. Filled with music that is most true to BTS, the album is their heartfelt way of saying thank you to ARMY, who have been there this whole time,» the label said in a statement.

Preorders will be available starting Jan. 16.

When BTS will go on the world tour

Following the release of the studio album, the group will embark on a world tour. The concert schedule will be announced separately on Jan. 14 at 12 a.m. South Korean time.

According to Bloomberg, the event has been in the works since 2019. Fans can expect 65 concerts worldwide, including 30 events in the U.S. and Canada. The precise dates and cities of the tour have not yet been announced.

Considering BTS’s vast and active global fan base, millions of fans are expected to compete for tickets.

Previously, several K-drama actors were spotted in Almaty, including Son Suk-ku and Kim Ji-eun.
