Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, the 26-year-old eldest son of former football star David Beckham and former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham, has gone public with a major rift with his parents, the BBC reported.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Brooklyn said he no longer plans to repair his relationship with his family, accusing them of emotional abuse, attempts to control him and of attacking him and his wife, Nicola Peltz, the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, in the media.

He also said he had tried to keep family matters private but that ongoing media reports and what he described as false statements had prompted him to speak out. He added that he was not being influenced by anyone and described his decision as standing up for himself.

He further alleged that his parents had attempted to undermine his marriage and had treated his wife with disrespect. Among his claims, he said his mother withdrew from designing Nicola’s wedding dress shortly before the ceremony and later disrupted the couple’s first dance at their wedding reception.

Peltz Beckham said the couple renewed their vows in 2025 to create more positive memories together.

He also alleged that other members of his family had criticized him publicly and later blocked him on social media. Sir David and Lady Beckham have not publicly addressed the claims.
