German airline Lufthansa has announced the resumption of scheduled flights from Kazakhstan to Germany. Passengers are promised onboard comfort and internet access.
Operations will begin on March 29, 2026, serving the Almaty–Frankfurt route five times a week and operating four weekly flights from Astana. The options will include non-stop flights to Germany as well as flights with a stopover. The flights will be operated by Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
Three classes of service will be available: business, premium economy and economy. All of them offer meals, drinks, individual monitors and internet access via FlyNet.
Previously, the carrier halted flights to Kazakhstan last October due to avoiding Russia’s airspace and low demand.
