
Kazakhstan is experiencing a dynamic surge in food and beverage production. Government forecasts anticipate food production volume to hit a remarkable 4.7 trillion tenge (approx. $9.7 billion) by the end of 2026.
Beverage sector expansion
Coca-Cola Almaty Bottlers is poised to drive growth in the beverage sector. The company plans an ambitious increase in soft drink production — from 4.3 billion liters to 6.7 billion liters, marking a 55% surge.
The company is investing 42 billion tenge ($84 million) in a state-of-the-art plant in western Kazakhstan to power this expansion.
Coca-Cola Almaty Bottlers is owned by the Dutch company CCI International Holland and the Turkish company Coca-Cola İçecek Anonim, part of the Turkish beverage group Coca-Cola İçecek.
Growth among major food producers
Major food producers are gearing up for impressive growth:
- Maslodel plans a 23% boost in processed milk production, reaching 121,000 tons.
- Vegetable oil production is also set for growth, with Qazaq Astyq Group aiming for a 19% increase.
- Salamat is gearing up for an 11% jump in flour production.
- Zharkent Starch and Syrup Plant expects to ramp up starch and molasses production by 10%.
Sunflower oil production is set to soar to 890,000 tons, an increase of about $207 million compared with 2025.

Production of starch and amino acids is projected to climb from 205,000 tons to 260,000 tons, with this growth expected to add an additional $113 million to output.
