Shakira performed her largest concert to date at the iconic Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The free public concert, held on May 2, drew an estimated two million people. Previous editions of similar beach concerts featured Madonna and Lady Gaga, NME reported.

The concert was part of the «Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran» (Women Don’t Cry Anymore) world tour, named after her 2024 album. The event was delayed by more than an hour; however, when drones formed the message «I love you, Brazil» in Portuguese, the audience responded with enthusiastic applause in support of the singer.

On stage, Shakira recalled her first visit to the country at the age of 18, when she dreamed of performing on a Brazilian stage.

The show began at around 11 p.m., with Shakira performing all her hits and closing with «Bzrp Music Sessions #53/66,» created following her breakup with footballer Gerard Piqué.

Previously, rumors circulated that Shakira and Eminem were coming to Almaty, but the concert organizer clarified the truth behind them.
