Kazakhstani dancer Sofia Mukasheva appeared in «Confession II – The Film,» an iconic 14-minute music short by Madonna, released on YouTube. Kursiv LifeStyle explains how she made it onto the Queen of Pop’s team.
Mukasheva posted about her participation on Instagram, sharing a still from the credits listing her name.
According to the post, Madonna personally approved her candidacy. One of the photos shows a mood board featuring a photo of Mukasheva with a note reading: «M has approved!»
Sharing the behind-the-scenes content from the London shoot, the dancer said she worked with acclaimed choreographers Damien Jalet and Nicolas Huchard.
«Confession II – The Film» was directed by creative duo TORSO and serves as a visual companion to pop icon Madonna’s upcoming 15th studio album Confessions II, scheduled for release on July 3. The film opens with a scene where Madonna is pursued by a squad of camerwomen — one of them Mukasheva herself. It also stars Sabrina Carpenter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss and Julia Garner.
In the comment section, Mukasheva’s friends, colleagues and followers are praising her involvement in a project of this level, calling it legendary.
