U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor met with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and conveyed greetings from U.S. President Donald Trump.

«I can assure you that you have a friend in the White House. President Trump holds your work in high regard. We are committed to finding mutually beneficial solutions that serve the interests of both our countries. This is reflected in the growing engagement between the United States and countries across the region. Over the past year alone, agreements worth more than $20 billion have been reached, and I am confident this is only the beginning. We are also pleased to welcome your participation in the G20 Summit later this year,» Gor said.

Tokayev, in turn, conveyed his respect to President Trump and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation, Akorda reported.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the implementation of joint trade, economic and investment projects, as well as prospects for cooperation in key sectors, including critical minerals, transport, logistics and digitalization.

Special attention was also given to the work of the Board of Peace, an international organization established earlier this year at President Trump’s initiative and supported by Kazakhstan.

Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to continue contributing to international stability and humanitarian initiatives. The two sides also exchanged views on current regional and global issues.
