VkusVill, a Russian health-food retail chain founded in 2009, is closing all its stores in Kazakhstan. Kursiv LifeStyle explains why the brand is leaving the market and where customers can still purchase its products.
The company announced the closure on social media. All four stores will cease operations on Aug. 9, 2026.
However, VkusVill does not plan to leave the Kazakh market entirely. The brand’s products will continue to be available through online marketplaces. In addition, the Dokovil store in Karaganda will soon begin selling VkusVill products.
According to the company, the decision reflects a shift in its development strategy. VkusVill plans to focus on partnerships with local retail chains and online marketplaces.
«To scale the project, we need a product assortment that is currently difficult to provide in full while maintaining our technological standards and strict ingredient requirements,» the company said in a statement.
Customers can also take advantage of a final clearance sale before the stores close. Starting June 24, all VkusVill locations will offer discounts of up to 40% across the entire product range.
«Starting June 24, club members will receive refunds for the remaining balance on their cards. Funds will be returned automatically using the same payment method that was used to purchase the card,» VkusVill said.
The company has operated in Kazakhstan since 2024.
