Kazakh entrepreneur Sultan Talip has launched a construction company in the U.S. and has already begun building single-family homes for sale. As he shared on Facebook, he hopes to earn $1 billion by 2035.
«I’m that Kazakh guy who started a construction company in America and began building private homes here. We’re currently working in Florida, and this house has 250 square meters of covered living space. We started putting up the walls this morning, and by the end of the first day, half of them were already finished. Tomorrow, the walls will be completed,» he said in a video posted on Facebook.
According to the entrepreneur, the home will feature multiple bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Talip also noted that Americans enjoy having sun loungers and barbecue areas on their patios.
«In the future, the homeowner can build a large swimming pool here and spend time with family and children by the pool. They’ll enjoy living here surrounded by beautiful nature, almost like being in the forest. This is the type of home Americans prefer to buy, so we’re building houses that meet this demand and plan to sell them,» he said.
Talip revealed that in 2017, he created an 18-year life plan extending through 2035.
«Starting a construction company in the U.S. is part of that plan. I intend to earn $1 billion through this business,» he said.
Talip and his family moved to the U.S. in July 2024 after winning a Green Card through the Diversity Visa Lottery. They now live in Melbourne, Florida. Despite settling in the U.S., he says he always enjoys returning to Kazakhstan.
«Everyone missed home, our relatives and our friends. I want to eat beshbarmak, drink soup and kymyz, enjoy the mountains of Almaty and the cool breeze of Astana, and see people I haven’t seen in so long. We also have an important mission during our summer vacation. The younger children will learn Kazakh, while the older ones will spend time with friends. Everyone will also get a medical checkup. Dental treatment is very expensive in America, so we’ll all take care of our dental work while we’re here. Of course, it would have been cheaper to vacation in the Bahamas or California, but nothing can replace your homeland and the people you love,» he wrote on Facebook.
Talip has also fulfilled another longtime dream since moving to the U.S. by taking flying lessons.
«Today I hired a flight instructor and flew an airplane by myself for the first time. It was easier than I expected — the main thing is to truly love it. In the future, I want to earn my pilot’s license and buy my own private jet with 10 to 12 seats,» he said.
In 2024, BI Group, a Kazakh construction company controlled by billionaire Aidyn Rakhimbayev, announced plans to begin selling residential properties in the U.S. The company offered Kazakhstanis apartments in Miami’s financial district starting at $477,000 with a guaranteed 10% return, as well as luxury villas priced at $6.8 million and above.
