Jackie Chan, the legendary Hong Kong action star, director and martial artist, has arrived in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region to take part in the filming of the new movie «Armour of God: Ultimatum.» Upon his arrival at Aktau International Airport, he was welcomed by Mangystau Region Governor Nurdaulet Kilybay.
According to the regional administration, the Bozzhyra Valley, one of Mangystau’s most famous natural landmarks, will serve as one of the film’s primary shooting locations.
During his meeting with Chan, Kilybay said that Mangystau’s involvement in the high-profile international production reflects the global film industry’s growing interest in Kazakhstan’s unique natural landscapes.
«The participation of the Mangystau region in such a large-scale international film project opens up new opportunities for tourism development, attracting investment and promoting the region on the global stage,» Kilybay said.
Chan thanked the governor for the warm welcome and noted that Mangystau’s landscapes offer exceptional cinematic potential, adding that they will be among the film’s highlights.
«Armour of God: Ultimatum» is being produced by Salem Entertainment with the support of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information.
