The film’s domestic box office total has reached $923 million, putting it close to «Star Wars: The Force Awakens,» which earned $936 million. If «Spider-Man: Brand New Day» surpasses that figure, it will become the highest-grossing film in U.S. box office history.
The comic book film also dominated the box office in Kazakhstan. According to Freedom Ticketon, it grossed $3 million during its opening weekend. The movie also sparked a trend, with fans dressed in Spider-Man costumes appearing at shopping malls.
