Filming for «Armour of God 4: Ultimatum,» starring Jackie Chan, has wrapped up in Kazakhstan, and the movie is now being prepared for international release. Kursiv LifeStyle reports on what is known about the international project.
Filming took place in Almaty and the Almaty and Mangystau regions. The movie was produced with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Chinese production company China Film Group Corporation.
At a joint press conference with Vice Minister of Culture Kanat Iskakov, Chan shared his impressions of working in Kazakhstan. According to the renowned Hong Kong movie star and martial arts legend, the country has great potential for international film productions thanks to its scenic locations and natural beauty.
«We expect the project to help promote Kazakhstan’s tourism and cultural potential, as well as attract international film productions to the country,» the ministry said in a statement.
In Aktau, where the film crew shot several large-scale scenes involving buses and a helicopter on the city’s waterfront, the production sparked a buzz on social media. Later, the crew thanked the people of Aktau for their hospitality and announced that filming in the city was completed.
«Armour of God 4: Ultimatum» will serve as the final installment in the franchise. The premiere is scheduled for February 2027.
