Some economic sectors in Nur-Sultan and Almaty will be reopened on April 20.
This decision was taken by the State Emergency Commission under the President of Kazakhstan.
However, the permission for some businesses to operate doesn’t mean the strong sanitary and epidemiological measures are lifted.
The first stage of reopening businesses will start from April 20 and would cover the construction sector as well as several sectors of services.
The specific list of businesses that can restart their work in Nur-Sultan and Almaty could be declared on April 15.
Last Friday Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan ordered local authorities in Nur-Sultan and Almaty to “carry out targeted work to bring small and medium-sized businesses from stagnation to a zone of gradual recovery, primarily in the two largest cities of the country.
