FlyArystan Wants Passengers to Use Only One Bag as Hand Luggage

The new rule will enter into force on March 1

According to the airline press service, the rule will help passengers get on board and get off the plane more easily. The size and weight of the luggage won’t be changed, the company said.

«These changes are not something completely different we have today; I mean we are not going to change the size or weight of the luggage. The only difference is the quantity of luggage; passengers will be allowed to carry on only one bag with them. What it would be: a handbag, rucksack or suitcase – people can decide on their own,» said Daniyar Uskenbayev, head of the airline’s ground service.

As he noted, these changes will certainly improve the passengers’ experience during boarding and allow the lowcoster to operate more smoothly.

«We had made some research, which has shown that people do not really care about the proper use of baggage space, so those who get on a plane at the end of the boarding process might find themselves in a situation when there is no space for even small luggage. Now, we believe, there will be enough baggage space for all passengers and the boarding experience will be better,» he said.

Currently, FlyArystan plans to sell about 2.5 million tickets over the spring and summer seasons. The company has already resumed its flight to nine destinations.
