President Tokayev discharged head of border guard service

As the official website of Kazakhstan’s president reported, Darkhan Dilmanov has been discharged from the office of the deputy head of the National Security Committee/Head of the Border Guard Service.

«The president has discharged Darkhan Dilmanov from the office of the deputy head of the National Security Committee, head of the Border Guard Service,» the official statement said.

Darkhan Dilmanov was born in 1969 in Kyzylorda. He graduated from the Moscow Border Guard Highest Command School under Soviet KGB, Kyzylorda State University and Moscow Border Institute under Russian FSB.

Over the period from 1986 to 1998, he served in the Soviet and then Kazakhstani border troops; over 1998-2015 he was a top official of the Border Guard Service under the National Security Committee (KNB) of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From July 14, 2015 until recently he worked as deputy head of KNB / head of the Border Guard Service.
