According to the Ministry of Digital Development, Kazakhstan plans to export its IT solutions related to e-government to neighboring Kyrgyzstan.

The projects expected to be exported include:

  • Smart Bridge, a platform designed to simplify integration between public IT systems and the business sector;
  • Smart Data Ukimet, a set of tools designed to monitor economic growth and track the implementation of national programs; and
  • eGov solutions.

During Digital Almaty 2024, a conference dedicated to IT solutions across various sectors, the digital ministries of both countries signed a memorandum of understanding.

Additionally, Kazakhstani officials signed similar memorandums with digital ministries from Sierra Leone and Togo, agreeing to collaborate in IT, communications and online public services.

In December 2023, Kazakhstan exported the Smart Bridge, Smart Data Ukimet, and eGov projects to Tajikistan.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wants the cabinet to boost exports of IT services to $1 billion by 2026. According to Digital Minister Bagdat Musin, these exports could reach $500 million by the end of this year.
