Wild boar goes on rampage in Turkey, video goes viral

In the Turkish city of Batman, an unusual «traffic incident» took place when a wild boar charged onto a busy road and slammed into a man crossing the street. Footage of the encounter quickly went viral on social media, with some users joking about the animal’s reckless dash.

A hit-and-run — boar style

The video shows the pedestrian unable to react as the animal barrels toward him at full speed. After the impact, the boar didn’t slow down, continuing its chaotic run and knocking into two more men who tried to get out of its way.

The animal then disappeared from view, effectively fleeing the scene.

Wildlife on city streets

Such incidents are becoming more common in Turkey, as wild animals venture into urban areas in search of food. Still, a high-speed boar sprint through a busy boulevard remains highly unusual.

While some social media users joked that the boar deserved a speeding ticket, local residents were less amused, raising safety concerns.

«He came onto the road like a torpedo — the pedestrian had no chance to avoid him,» one witness said.

In Kazakhstan, wild animals are also occasionally spotted near residential areas, particularly around Almaty. However, this incident stands out for its sheer unpredictability, turning an ordinary city moment into something far more chaotic.
