Argentina has barred child support defaulters from attending football matches and public events for the past year. The restriction will now extend to all FIFA World Cup matches held in the tournament’s host countries — the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Authorities said individuals on the list may regain the right to attend Argentina national team matches if they fully repay their outstanding child support obligations before the games begin.
