Kazakh Power Slap competitor Zakir Naimanbayev has publicly challenged former UFC champion Conor McGregor to a slap-fighting match.
Naimanbayev, who has competed in Dana White’s Power Slap promotion, posted a video on Instagram inviting McGregor to face him in the league.
Challenge issued on social media
In the video, Naimanbayev said he represents Kazakhstan in Power Slap and called on McGregor to accept the challenge.
He also claimed that influencer-boxer Jake Paul had commented on his performances, suggesting that high-profile figures are paying attention to his videos.
Naimanbayev encouraged his followers to tag McGregor on social media in hopes of getting the Irish fighter’s attention.
Linked to McGregor’s expected return
Naimanbayev said he hopes the slap-fighting match could take place following McGregor’s anticipated return to mixed martial arts.

Notably, McGregor’s long-awaited return to the Octagon fell well short of expectations, as the former two-division UFC champion suffered a first-round defeat to Max Holloway in his first fight in five years.
Naimanbayev last competed in March 2026 at a Power Slap event in Las Vegas, where he defeated American Wesley Mena by unanimous decision after a hard-fought contest.
