Woman fined for taking a photo on Semey’s famous bridge

A 35-year-old woman from Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region has been fined after posing for photos on the roadway of a highway bridge in Semey, in eastern Kazakhstan, according to the regional police department.
A video posted on social media shows the woman lying on the road at night while posing for the camera as vehicles pass by.
The video drew the attention of social media users and police, who later identified the woman.
Police said such behavior poses a serious risk to life and health because drivers traveling at night may not see a person on the roadway in time to stop. The offense carries a fine of about $18 .
«You shouldn’t risk your life for the sake of impressive photos and social media views. No video is worth such consequences,» the regional police department said.
Kursiv.media previously reported that police in Atyrau cited a 37-year-old passenger who leaned out of a moving vehicle’s window while pouring a drink for another passenger.
The stunt was filmed for social media, but police later identified the person responsible and issued a citation for violating traffic regulations.
