As Almaty prepares to welcome Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, for his Ye Tour 2026 show, the concert organizers have shared details of the preparations. Kursiv LifeStyle takes a look at what spectators can expect.
Aituar Alibekov, director of concert project development at First Media Group, said that more than 100 tons of technical equipment is already on its way to Almaty. Around 15 trucks carrying stage structures, lighting and sound equipment are headed to the city. According to him, residents and visitors will get to see the full-scale world-class show rather than a shortened or adapted version.
«Many people have suggested that the show in Almaty won’t be as spectacular. But this isn’t an adapted version. It will be the same full-scale show you’ve seen online. The stage, the sphere and all the special effects will be there,» Alibekov said.
After performing in Kazakhstan, Ye will continue the tour in the U.S. First Media Group believes that hosting an artist of this profile will make Almaty a more prominent destination on the global concert tour circuit.
Notably, the concert was originally planned for a different date, but changes to the global tour schedule resulted in a sudden announcement.
Best spots to watch the show
According to the organizers, the 360-degree stage will offer good visibility from almost every spot in the stadium.
«If you want to see the full show with all the special effects, the stands are the better choice. But if you want to be closer to the artist and experience the atmosphere in the crowd, choose the dancefloor,» Alibekov said.
West’s first major concert in Almaty is scheduled for Aug. 14. Tickets are available through the Freedom SuperApp and on Ticketon.kz. On the first day of presales alone, fans snapped up half the seats at the stadium.
