TikTok broadcast ends in psychiatric hospital for Kazakh streamer

Lailo Kasymova, 41, a resident of Kazakhstan’s Zhambyl region known on TikTok as «Golden Woman,» has been hospitalized at a regional mental health center, according to police.

The streamer had previously been repeatedly cited by authorities for using obscene language during live broadcasts.

Police report repeated incidents

Police said Kassymova had undergone preventive measures on numerous occasions but continued to use obscene language during her livestreams. Authorities also alleged that some of the language was directed at her minor children.

Following the incidents, police, guardianship authorities and other relevant agencies inspected the children’s living conditions and care arrangements. The children are currently staying with their father, according to authorities.

Kassymova was examined by an ambulance crew and subsequently referred to the Zhambyl Regional Mental Health Center for treatment.

Authorities have not disclosed her diagnosis or how long she is expected to remain at the facility.
