Toyota unveils new electric SUV built for outdoor adventures

Toyota’s new electric bZ Woodland is a crossover equipped with two electric motors, all-wheel drive and a total output of 375 horsepower. What is more notable, however, is how the company has combined the features of an electric vehicle with off-road practicality, Consumer Reports reported.

An electric SUV with an adventurous side

The bZ Woodland features an all-wheel-drive system with X-MODE and approximately 21.3 cm of ground clearance. It also comes with all-terrain tires, roof rails and the ability to tow a trailer weighing up to 1.6 tons. This means it isn’t simply a more powerful version of the standard bZ but a model with a clear focus on outdoor activities.

The EPA-rated range with standard tires is approximately 452 km. With optional all-terrain tires, the range drops to around 418 km.

Another notable feature is it’s charging capability. The 74.7-kWh battery supports DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions. A battery preheater is also available to help improve charging performance in cold weather.

Furthermore, the 375 horsepower isn’t just a figure on paper. Toyota says the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than five seconds.
