Sept. 1 is a special day for ARMY, fans of K-pop powerhouse BTS, as it’s the birthday of Jungkook, who turns 29 this year. Kursiv LifeStyle looks at how Kazakhstani fans congratulated their favorite artist.
At midnight South Korean time, as Sept. 1 began, fans around the world organized a massive birthday campaign to mark Jungkook’s 29th birthday. Congratulatory videos featuring the artist appeared on large digital displays in cities around the world.
Kazakhstani ARMY also joined the large-scale fan project. The congratulatory video was displayed on the high-rise LED facade of Kazakh Railways’ main office building on Konaev Street in Astana. The video was shown from the evening of Aug. 31 through the night of Sept. 1.
In Almaty, the video appeared on digital displays at Teniz Towers, at the intersection of Al-Farabi Avenue and Nazarbayev Avenue.
Projects like these have already become a traditional part of celebrating a BTS member’s birthday among ARMY. In addition, fans organize promotional campaigns for the group’s new singles or special dates.
