At the 6th World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan, guests were treated to a gigantic cake nearly two meters tall. The enormous dessert was prepared by the Konti Pastry confectionery team especially for the opening of the World Nomad Kitchen in the ethnic village in the Kyrchyn Gorge, where thousands of visitors gathered.

The gigantic multi-tiered cake, weighing 220 kilograms, became the main culinary attraction at the festival, which opened on Sept. 2.

Decorated with national motifs, the cake was designed to serve more than 2,000 guests. The seven-tiered dessert featured mountain landscapes, pine forests, golden eagles, ibexes and other animals.

According to its creators, each tier of the dessert symbolized one of Kyrgyzstan’s seven regions. A detailed figure of a snow leopard crowned the two-meter-tall creation.

All in all, the magnificent dessert required 1,200 eggs, 100 kilograms of chocolate sponge cake, 150 kilograms of chocolate cream and 24 kilograms of Belgian chocolate. All the figurines were hand-sculpted from fondant. The cake took four days to create, with work on the decorations beginning on Aug. 30. The dessert’s filling was highly praised by chefs from around the world who gathered for the event that day.

Visitors surrounded the cake, taking pictures with their phones and posing for photos next to it. On social media, the dessert was called a true work of art, with users praising its scale and the meticulous work of the pastry chefs.

«This is such painstaking work, simply amazing!»

«No one broke anything? How cool!»

«Can’t stop admiring it,» users wrote.

The 6th World Nomad Games are scheduled to run from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6. The main competitions and ethnocultural events are taking place in Bishkek, Cholpon-Ata and the Kyrchyn Gorge.
