An unusual incident occurred during the 6th World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan. A golden eagle approached a police officer instead of its owner. Kursiv LifeStyle looks at how the story turned out.

A video showing a golden eagle flying toward a police officer is gaining attention on social media. The officer tried to dodge it, but the bird eventually caught his bright reflective vest with its talons. The officer held on to the bird and spun around until the berkutchi, a master of traditional falconry, arrived.

Users in the comments section reacted with irony but praised the officer for managing to stay safe without injuring the bird of prey. As for the vest, the golden eagle had caught its talons in it, and the man couldn’t get it off in time. If he had stopped spinning, the bird could have injured him with its talons due to the force of inertia.

Kyrgyzstan is holding the 6th World Nomad Games from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6. The official opening took place at Central Asia’s largest stadium, Bishkek Arena. The show attracted attention on social media for its scale and high quality. As of the end of the third competitive day, Kazakhstan’s national team won 24 medals: 12 gold, seven silver and five bronze.
