The Tengri Camp team treated Burning Man attendees to beshbarmak in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. This year, the Kazakh team brought 11 yurts to the festival and plans to serve the traditional meat dish to around 5,000 people. Kursiv LifeStyle takes a look at Kazakh hospitality at the event.
The footage shows festival attendees being served large portions of beshbarmak. People from different countries can be seen sitting at a single table, tasting the Kazakh dish and talking with members of the camp.
This is the second year Tengri Camp has represented Kazakhstan at Burning Man. In 2025, the team brought a traditional Kazakh yurt to the desert for the first time. This year, the scale grew to 11 yurts, creating a small traditional-style Kazakh aul.

According to team members, they plan to feed around 5,000 people this year, having spent around $16,000 on groceries alone, which were delivered to the desert and prepared there.
Users on Threads praised the initiative, highlighting it as a good way to promote Kazakh culture and noting that, for some, it could be their first real introduction to Kazakhstan.
In 2026, Burning Man is taking place from Aug. 30 to Sept. 7 in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. It is an annual festival where participants create a temporary post-apocalyptic city featuring art installations, camps, music and various performances.
