Kazakhstan continues to captivate fans of unusual landscapes, with photos of places that look as if they were generated by artificial intelligence gaining popularity online.

Kyrgyz travel blogger Tynchtyk Mukhambetov, for example, shared a video of Mount Bokty in the Karakiya district of the Mangystau region.

The site resembles a scene from «Interstellar»: multicolored layers of ancient seabed rock stand out sharply, and wind and water erosion have sculpted a striking, otherworldly terrain. The mountain is recognized as a natural monument and was once depicted on the old 1,000-tenge banknote.

«Endless canyons, white cliffs, and landscapes that feel like another world. This spring we’re heading there — to see, capture, and feel the wild beauty of Mangystau together,» the blogger wrote.

In the comments, some users are even debating whether the images were created by AI.

The steppes of the Kostanay region — home to the Turgay Triquetra — are no less mysterious. Blogger Alexandra Temetra described the enormous geoglyph, which is shaped like a rotating cross.

Scholars still have not reached a consensus on its purpose: it may have been an ancient observatory, an animal enclosure, or even a signal to extraterrestrial civilizations. The vast design is visible only from the air, making it difficult to access. This both protects it and complicates efforts to preserve it.

«We’ve visited several geoglyphs in the Kostanay region. This one is the most memorable and unusual because of its shape. It’s located about 430 kilometers from Kostanay, near the village of Urpek,» the blogger said.
