As Quarantine Gets Softer Almaty Reopens Its Businesses

Citizens will be able to visit parks, beauty salons and educational centers

According to Saparbek Tuyakbayev, deputy head of the Almaty city administration, all beauty salons as well as educational centers will be reopened. However, compliance with strong sanitary-epidemiological measures is highly recommended, wrote Interfax-Kazakhstan.

«From today, beauty salons and educational centers will be reopened, but all of them need to submit applications and undergo an audit to observe sanitary and epidemiological standards. After approval by the commission, they will be given permission to work and attract employees, even those who live in the region,” Tuyakbaev said at a briefing on Monday.

All parks and public gardens will be opened gradually after new requirements and rules for visitors become available.

Earlier, Vice Prime Minister Eraly Tugzhanov said that the government has prepared a plan to soften the quarantine step by step by the end of June.

“In addition, the country’s government, chaired by the prime minister, is considering a comprehensive plan consisting of 159 points. All these measures are aimed at restoring the economy which suffered during the quarantine and state of emergency,» Tuganzhanov stated.

According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the fight against the epidemic is not finished yet; therefore, quarantine measures should be softened gradually.
